We wish to suggest a structure for the salt of deoxyribose nucleic acid (D.N.A.). This structure has novel features which are of considerable biological interest. [J. D. Watson and F.H.C. Crick] (Attribution below)
We wish to suggest a structure for the objective, dynamic, economic process. This structure, which is independent of human psychology, is composed of both point-to-point and point-to-line productive activities and their concomitant monetary flows. The functional structure of the system is double-circuited and has other previously-undiscovered, explanatory features which are of considerable interest.
